On Saturday, Feb. 20, actress Kimberly Wilson of Westport will present her original one-woman musical show “A Journey …” Using words and music, Wilson will bring to life Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Rosa Parks and Maya Angelou. On Saturday, Feb. 27, Danbury city historian Brigid Guertin will present a program on Danbury resident Marian Anderson, a black opera singer who made history when she sang on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in 1939. Guertin will talk about Anderson’s musical career, then read the children’s book “When Marian Sang” by Pam Muñoz Ryan. The program is free, and registration is encouraged, either at danburylibrary.org or by calling 203-797-4527.
